TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT!

A seminar by Paul Lamford

Look carefully at the following six board positions and decide the cube action in each case. White is on roll in each position and you are required to give a decision for both white and black, e.g. No Double/Take. Therefore there are four possible cube actions per position:

Double/Take
Double/Pass
No Double/Take
No Double/Pass

Points are awarded for each cube action. Total up your score and see how many points you can get.

Position 1
White trails 1-3 in a 5 point match

Position 2
0-0 in a 5 point match

Position 3
White trails 4-10 in a 15 point match

Position 4
1-1 in a 5 point match

Position 5
White trails 2-4 in a 7 point match

Position 6
White trails 6-9 in a 11 point match
