The Golden Rules Of Defence All Bridge beginners and improvers need to master the Golden Rules of defence. This excellent book shows how the rules work - and when they should be broken. The 'rules' in defence at bridge are designed to help players remember which defensive techniques to use. By mastering the rules in this book, players will be infinitely better prepared to solve problems at the bridge table. Each of the fifteen golden rules is given a chapter to itself and are all illustrated with numerous example hands. At the end of the chapter the points made are summarised so players can see the advantages, both in following the rule, and in not following it. This an exciting and intelligent way of building up a sound knowledge of defensive play and improving your game generally. About the Authors Julian Pottage is a former junior international player and is the author of several successful bridge books with Terence Reese. Marc Smith, also a former junior international and a US Life Master, is a bridge journalist.
