Bridge Match affected The
Camrose Trophy Patrick Jourdain, Chairman of Bridge Great Britain, says: "Following advice from the Department of Agriculture in the Republic of Ireland, the Contract Bridge Association of Ireland has reluctantly withdrawn its team from the Camrose match it was due to play this weekend in Basingstoke against Northern Ireland. Both Unions have indicated they will be having discussions with the intention of re-scheduling the match." The England vs Wales match will go ahead at the weekend, taking place at the Basingstoke Hilton. England have the advantage of a 24VP lead. Only these two countries are in a position to win the series and the Camrose Trophy will therefore be presented as planned at the conclusion of the match.
