MSO World Wide Charity Simultaneous Pairs
22 & 23 August 2000

Online Charity Bridge Tournament -
the British heats

Remember that special heats will be held at the Alexandra Palace during the Mind Sports Olympiad. Full details of these can be found on our MSO4 Pages

Lists of the other clubs in the UK that will be running the event

his event will be run for the benefit of The Save the Children Fund and it is hoped that as many clubs as possible will run heats - a large proportion of the entry fee payable to the World Bridge Federation will be going to the Charity.

The WBF would like to see as much money raised for Charity as possible. The entry fee for the British heats will be £4.50 per player, all in a very good cause.

We suggest that clubs might also look at ways of raising extra funds for The Save the Children Fund, perhaps by holding a raffle on the night, or by running a sweep on who will bid and make the first slam - the possibilities are endless. Another idea would be for players to ask friends to sponsor them for every making game/contract achieved during the evening.

Special heats are being run during the Mind Sports Olympiad to be held at Alexandra Palace in London, and players from nearby are encouraged to go and play there.

The whole event will be scored across Internet and results and information can be found on www.msoworld.com/bridge or at www.worldbridge.org.
