We don't hear so much these
days about the Forcing Pass systems which were to be the Convention of
the Future. However, some ten years ago in the Lederer Memorial Trophy,
we had an amusing hand when two pairs met both of which played a form
of Forcing Pass.

Lodge took a fair time to consider whether
this was forcing and finally bid 4 .
This did not inspire Forrester to continue and a grand slam
