MSO Chief Arbiter, writer and games inventor
Dan Glimne lives in Sweden. After studies at the Polytechnic University in Lund, where he also
taught for a few years at the Department of Machine Engineering, he in 1980 got the job as
product development manager at AB Alga, Sweden's leading games company. He stayed there
until 1989, when he decided to become a freelancer. He is the author of 15 books, most of
them about games but also including the novel "Beast of Burden", has invented over 50
published games which have sold in twenty countries, writes about games for newspapers,
magazines and the Internet version of Encyclopaedia Britannica, and also works for several
television shows. He became involved with the MSO from its start in 1997, and was made Chief
Arbiter in 1999.
